Students can work with any materials they want, but all artwork must be entered using the digital submission form. The contest is open for entries until November 30, 2020 11:59pm Pacific Time (PT).

  1. Fill in the information requested in the form.
  2. Artwork:
    1. Artists create their artwork using any materials they want.
      1. Accepted types of artwork include:
        1. Painting
        2. Drawing
        3. Sculpture
        4. Ceramics
        5. Photography
        6. Digital artwork
  3. Write:
    1. Artist’s statement - Tell us about what you have drawn and how it means to you.
    2. Fill out the rest of the required information.
  4. Submit:
    1. Submit via the submission form.


Judging criteria

Artwork judgment is open for public vote.

  1. Piece with the most votes in a grade group:
    1. Master Arts Festival Award
      1. $1000
  2. 2 pieces with the second most votes in a grade group:
    1. Gold Award
      1. $500
  3. 5 pieces with the third most votes in a grade group:
    1. Silver Award
      1. $200

Artwork will be grouped and judged by the following 2 grade groups:
  • Grades K-6
  • Grades 7-12
Disqualifications
  • Pieces that are not original works, contain logos, or copyright imagery will be disqualified.
  • Only one application per student. Only the first piece entered for each student will be considered, and any additional piece(s) will be disqualified.
